Norm is AppVision’s Chairman and CEO. A passionate product visionary and leader, Norm founded AppVision to provide innovative cyber security technology to the rapidly growing Mobile and IoT environments. Under Norm’s leadership, AppVision has developed its technology into a comprehensive solution, delivering powerful security and application visibility to enterprises around the world. A technologist at heart and an experienced Silicon Valley entrepreneur, Norm started his career with positions at AT&T, British Petroleum and Ernst & Young. He graduated from Indiana University, majoring in Computer Science and Finance.
Fred is AppVision’s VP of Product Management. He brings over 20 years of security and storage product management and marketing leadership. He has managed products at companies including Security Innovation, Nasuni, Core Security, ExaGrid and RSA with a continuous record of strong growth and customer satisfaction. He graduated with an MBA from Boston College, and an undergraduate Computer Science degree from MIT.
James is AppVision’s VP of Business Development. A seasoned marketing executive and security industry veteran with extensive experience, James currently leads all AppVision Partner Program operations. Prior to joining AppVision, James held sales, marketing and channel management positions at NetSecurity, Bloxx, nCircle and Core Security Technologies.
Eric is AppVision’s Director of Software Development, overseeing the teams that envision, specify and develop AppVision’s next-generation products. Eric has been developing Apple software for over 30 years and spent several years actually teaching programming seminars for Apple itself. His clients have also included Microsoft, The Weather Channel, Philips Electronics, Scholastic, and many others. He was the tech lead for eight major iOS app development projects including Weather Underground’s flagship weather app and has won awards from PC Magazine, Byte, Palm, and Apple.
Scott is AppVision’s Lead Engineer, overseeing the teams that design, build, and deliver AppVision’s products. He has a track record of building world-class products that are well architected, scalable, and fast. He also enjoys helping AppVision’s customers by designing, building and implementing solutions tailored to their specific security needs. Prior to AppVision, Scott held software engineering positions with Vencore, Mark/Space, Mailshell and NetManage.
Chance is AppVision’s CISO, in charge of securing AppVision’s cyber operations environment. He has specialized in cyber security for over nine years, helping countless clients analyze, mitigate and remediate all types of cyber attacks. Prior to AppVision, Chance held CyberSecurity and Digital Forensics positions with General Dynamics, NetSecurity, Geisinger Health System, and OPTiMO IT. He graduated from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, majoring in Computer Forensics.
Daniel is the founder of Darling Ventures, a San Francisco based venture capital firm that funds innovative technology companies. Daniel has provided guidance, from startup through exit, for many notable companies, including Kyndi, Human Inc, and Mobile Interactive Group. He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Sydney and completed postgraduate work at both Harvard and the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
Tom is a renowned corporate attorney and venture capitalist, with decades of experience advising Silicon Valley technology companies. Tom is a former Partner with DLA Piper and Managing Director at Granite Ventures. He earned his JD at Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and his MBA at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Paul has more than 20 years of executive leadership experience in information security. Paul most recently led Pwnie Express as CEO. Previously Paul was CEO at Savant Protection and Core Security Technologies. Paul has served in executive and management roles with other technology companies including Baltimore Technologies, GTE CyberTrust, Lotus Development and IBM. He served as an independent board director with Nitro Security which was acquired by Intel/McAfee in 2011. Paul is a graduate of Bowdoin College.
Ed Adams is a software quality and security expert with over 20 years of experience in the field. He served as a member of the Security Innovation Board of Directors since its inception in 2002 and took over as CEO in 2003. Prior to his work at Security Innovation, Ed held senior management positions at Rational Software, Lionbridge, Ipswitch, and MathSoft. He was also an engineer for the US Army and Foster-Miller earlier in his career. Ed is a Ponemon Institute Research Fellow, Privacy by Design Ambassador by the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Canada, and Forbes Technology Council Member, and serves on the board of several IT security organizations. Ed graduated from UMass Lowell with degrees in Mechanical Engineering and English Literature and earned his MBA with honors from Boston College.
Angiras Koorapaty (AK)
AK is a seasoned operational CFO who helps build, grow and exit venture backed technology companies. He has over 20 years experience as the CFO of Visual IQ, Nitrosecurity, Core Security Technologies, Webhire and Corechange. AK earned an MBA from The George Washington University.
Vladimir Svidesskis is an experienced and credentialed information security professional who is strongly involved in the security community. He is currently the Information Security Director for the Georgia Lottery Corporation. He is Co-Chair of the Governing Body of Evanta Atlanta CISOs, on the Advisory Council at SecureWorld and on the Governing Board of CISO Summit Atlanta. Earlier in his career he served in the US Marine Corps. Vladimir has obtained his CISSP from ISC2, CISM and CRISC from ISACA and GSLC from GIAC.
